About me:
In addition to sewing... I knit, laugh at my little boy, crochet, despise the dog, travel, drink some wine, cook, love the cat, bake, eat some chocolate, pull weeds, read books, shovel snow, and spend time with family. I like comedy not drama. I snowboard, not ski. And I aim to make beautiful things that have a purpose.
In a nutshell, I'm an artist, wife, and mother of a curly-haired toddler boy living in the suburbs of a big city always looking for ways to fuel the creative fire within my red-haired, freckled self. Hence the name Ginger Freckle!

About my work:
Fabric has always been a memorable part of my life. Whether it was a soft cotton blankey or silky pj's, that tactile memory has always stuck with me. I learned to sew when I was 13 and have been stitching things ever since. I think that's why I ended up with a BFA in textiles and continued along the same vein in grad school where I learned how weave, embroider, dye, embellish, and design fabric patterns. So this is the foundation that I continually build from. I like knowing that what I make is visually interesting and useful at the same time.
